"It is the people we meet!
We consider it a privilege to partner with our clients and an honor to assist in completing their treasured quilts.
The plethora of colors, patterns, fabrics, and diversity of design represented in the quilts, is a true joy to behold.

About Us

Precision Quiltworks was established in 2008 by John and Karla Rogers.
A true collaborative effort, both John and Karla work on the design and execution of each quilt. Located in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains outside the old mining town of Nevada City, CA, their studio is a peaceful place to work!

John and Karla regularly attend national quilt shows and update their skills through the various classes offered during those shows.

They are delighted that many of their clients' quilts have won Blue Ribbons in judged shows including BEST of SHOW awards in 2013, 2016, and 2018.
We were honored when in 2017 we were awarded "Best Professional Machine Quilting" at the Foothill Quilt Guild's annual show.

John developed his respect and appreciation for quilts as a result of both his mother and wife's shared passion for collecting and constructing quilts.

Karla has been avidly collecting, creating , and restoring quilts since the late 1960's. She joined the Pine Tree Quilt Guild of Grass Valley, CA in 1990.
Passing on the rich heritage of quilting is a delight and true passion in her life.
Having taught the  junior members of her local quilt guild for 3 years, she continues to educate and encourage new quilters of all ages.
